1. Services Provided

All training is delivered using ethical, force-free, positive reinforcement techniques tailored to each dog’s individual needs. Services include bespoke training packages, in-home consultations, and structured training plans designed to support behavioural goals, enrichment, and emotional wellbeing.

Initial consultations are included in the price of all training packages and are used to identify your goals and create a personalised plan for your dog.

 

2. Booking, Invoicing & Payments

An invoice will be sent after your consultation, outlining CV your selected package and payment details.

Packages must be paid for in advance of sessions. If on a payment plan, the first instalment will be 50% of the overall cost followed by a tailored repayment plan for the balance. No session will take place prior to receipt of payment.

Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, and Klarna.

If paying by cash, payment must be made at or before the first session.

No training will proceed without prior payment.

 

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

Cancellations or missed sessions after the required 48 hours’ notice period are non-refundable.

A maximum of 2 sessions may be rescheduled with the minimum 48 hours’ notice period. Thereafter any missed sessions are neither refundable nor negotiable.

Notwithstanding, bitches in season or unwell dogs should not be trained, as hormonal changes can affect behaviour, focus, and wellbeing. We understand this can be unpredictable; please notify as soon as possible so we can reschedule your session without penalty. This further exception in addition once to the above conditions on rescheduling.

Maple Tree reserves the right to reschedule sessions in the event of inclement weather or circumstances beyond their control.

 

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to attend sessions, ensure their dog is in good health, and provide honest and detailed behavioural history. During sessions, please ensure children and other dogs are safely managed to allow for productive training.

Legal Requirement: Under the Animal Welfare Act, all dogs must wear a visible ID tag when attending a session.

Maple Tree reserves the right to cancel the session without reimbursement if legal requirements are not met.

 

5. Results & Progress

Progress depends on multiple factors including your dog’s age, temperament, environment, and your consistency with training between sessions. While Maple Tree Dog Training is committed to ethical, evidence-based support, results may vary.

 

6. Group Classes

All group classes must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Spaces are limited and cannot be reserved without payment. To ensure classes run safely and smoothly, clients must provide accurate information about their dog at the time of booking, including age, vaccination status, behavioural history, and any relevant health considerations.

Dogs attending classes must be up to date with vaccinations appropriate for their age, as advised by your veterinarian.

Proof is required.

Please bring your dog on a well fitted harness, a standard lead (no retractable leads), and plenty of high value treats.

Missed classes are non refundable. Where possible, handouts or catch up guidance may be provided, but replacement sessions cannot be guaranteed. Dogs showing signs of illness, distress, or behaviours that may impact the safety or wellbeing of the group may be asked to leave the session; alternative support options will be discussed where appropriate.

 

7. Safety & Welfare

Dogs that are unwell, injured, or distressed should not participate in training. If needed, referrals to appropriate veterinary or behavioural specialists may be discussed.

 

8. Data Protection & Privacy

Client data is stored securely in accordance with GDPR. Any photos or videos captured during training for social media or marketing will be shared only with signed consent. These media will focus on your dog and will not reveal personal details about you, your household, or identifiable surroundings.

9. Intellectual Property

All materials, branding, logos, and educational content provided by Maple Tree Dog Training are protected under copyright and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

 

10. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure safe, supportive sessions, Maple Tree Dog Training ltd accepts no liability for injuries, damages, or loss that occur outside of the training context or as a result of failure to follow guidance.
